Search the Writings is a private research site run by Lessan Vaezi for a small number of invited family members and friends. This page explains what it keeps and why.
What the site keeps
- Your Google name and email address, received when you sign in with Google, to check that you are on the invitation list and to show you your own answers. The site asks Google for nothing else.
- Your questions and the answers generated for you. They are saved under your account so you can return to them. You can delete any answer from its page.
- Research logs of how each answer was produced (which texts were searched and read). These are kept on the server for 14 days to fix problems and are then deleted. They are never shown on the site.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
Who can see it
Your answers are visible only to you on the site. Lessan, who runs the site, can see all saved answers and the research logs on the server.
To write an answer, your question and passages from the library are sent to Anthropic, the company whose AI model (Claude) writes the answers, under Anthropic's commercial terms. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used for any other purpose.
Deleting your data
Delete individual answers from their pages, or email lessan@gmail.com to have your account and everything saved under it removed.
